Sunday Service: 10:30AM (September – May) 10:00AM (Memorial Day to Labor Day)
Wayne United Methodist Church is a congregation that can bear witness to the marvelous faithfulness of God through the many changing circumstances of life, and today we are increasingly on the move in mission for Jesus Christ.
At the heart of the message lived and preached here is the astonishing and life-changing grace of God, poured out in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, and intended to put us back into right relationship with God and with those around us. No matter who we are, or what the past has been, there is hope! For “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8). Therefore, there is a place for us within the kingdom of God – and a place for you here at Wayne UMC.
As part of the United Methodist Church, we embrace the essentials of historic Christian teaching, as outlined in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds, and trace our history back to the work of John Wesley (1703–1791). A passionate evangelist, Wesley emphasized the grace of God that is at work in us even before we know or care, and always seeking to draw us back home to the God who made us, and has never given up on us.
We invite you worship with us at our Sunday service. Wayne UMC has a mix of traditional and informal elements. We lay stress on biblical preaching, powerful music, and opportunities for learning and service throughout the week, to the end that all might come to experience and grow in God’s grace.
We look forward to worshipping with you. |
