The governing body of our church, consisting of committee chairs and other elected leaders.
Board of Trustees
Meetings: First Monday of each month from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Committee Member Log-in
The Board of Trustees is a group of Wayne United Methodist Church (WUMC) member volunteers. Each member has been invited to participate by the Trustees and Pastor. This group is responsible for the following:
- The Board of Trustees shall have the supervision, oversight, and care of all real property owned by WUMC and of all property and equipment acquired directly by WUMC.
- The Board of Trustees shall review annually the adequacy of the property, liability, and crime insurance coverage on church-owned property, buildings, and equipment. The board of trustees shall also review annually the adequacy of personnel insurance.
- When a Pastor and/or a Board of Trustees are asked to grant permission to an outside organization to use church facilities, permission can be granted only when such use is consistent with the Social Principles.

Committee on Lay Leadership
This body works to match members’ gifts, talents and passions with the various ministries and committees in the church.
Congregational Care Ministry (CCM)
Meetings: 3rd Thursday of the month from 6:45-8:00pm.

CCM Mission Statement
The Congregational Care Committee shall lead the congregation in: |

1. Welcoming visitors and assimilating new members into its life.
2. Strengthening the ties amongst existing members.
3. Identifying persons who are missing or drifting away, and seeking to reconnect them with the church family.
4. Identifying persons in circumstances of special need, and seeking to maintain their ties with the congregation. |

Environmental Stewardship Committee
This committee coordinates the environmental initiatives of our church as we "grow a greener spirit" and affirm the natural world as God's handiwork. We work to preserve and enhance our natural world by education and action.
Finance Committee
This committee manages the church’s finances, pays the bills and oversees investments and bequests.
Mission Committee
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by modeling our faith in both proclamation and action. We strive to strengthen, develop and renew Christian congregations and communities through our work, in partnership with other WUMC programs. We seek to work together, to thoughtfully and prayerfully generate mission funds and allocate resources. Our tasks include church member mission education, identification and coordination of hands-on mission work opportunities and encouragement of personal mission programs both here and abroad. In all things, we join with United Methodists worldwide in the quest to alleviate human suffering, working as instruments of peace, freedom and justice.

Staff-Parish Relations Committee
This is sort of the church’s HR department, which hires and evaluates staff, and acts as liaison between the pastor and congregation.
Women of Wayne UMC (WoW)
This group organizes programs, studies and events for the Women of the church. Events such as: WoW Friday Night Out, WoW Fall Retreat, Christmas Communion and Tea, Spring Weekday WoW Luncheon and WoW Women's Morning Apart.
Worship Committee
This committee brainstorms to improve worship, recruits participants (like greeters, readers and ushers) and encourages congregational participation in worship.
