We are Wayne Church – A United Methodist Community.

But what does that mean exactly? We’re located in Wayne. We are a Church. United and Community are great words to describe the Church, but what about Methodist? What is a Methodist anyway? Does it have something to do with the love of coffee, potlucks, or singing? While true, not really. In reality, Methodist is a pejorative term coined nearly 300 years ago to describe a small group of young people who formed a method for following Jesus. Some called them too enthusiastic. Yet, what others used as an insult, they claimed with pride. As it turns out, there was a method to the madness. Maybe you don’t care about denominational affiliation. However, you’re reading this, so you’ve got at least some skin in the game. Join us as we talk about all the things that make us who we are.

April 14 – Grace
All Christians believe in it, but we have more of it. In fact, grace completely surrounds every aspect of our lives. 

April 21 – Do No Harm
This is our first rule. Don’t harm yourself, others, or your relationship with God.

April 28 – Do Good
“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.” (John Wesley)

May 5 – Do Life with God
What are the practices that help us to cultivate a relationship with God?

May 12 – How We Think
The living core of the Christian faith was revealed in Scripture, illuminated by tradition, vivified in personal experience, and confirmed by reason.
